Interview, Interview, Interview — Avoid Dropping In The Trap
The job interview starts at the time you’ve got into the room. You already evaluated by appearance, smile or your anxious look and position.
If you should land in a job, your CV and a good interview are the most significant components. In your preparation for the job interview, you should be aware what you should avoid.
Avoid bad handshake. Your handshake may be showing more about you than you already know. Ask for honest assessments from many good friends who aren’t afraid to inform the reality.
Do not be negative. You need to avoid saying negative things about your former boss no matter how mean they were to you.
Not having any questions concerning the organization is a mild form of insult to the interviewer. You can learn a lot from medical interview preparation courses, you should give it a try.
Avoid treating the receptionist rudely. The receptionist has the power to pave your way positively or negatively even before you set eyes on the interviewer.
Avoid reciting you resume and cover letter in the interview. Tell the interviewer why the business must hire you.
Avoid lack of knowledge. You should stay away from this mistake by appropriate analysis about the corporation so you don’t get into any awkward circumstances.
Never be too late or too soon for the interview. Arriving more than 10 minutes early for an interview is a dead giveaway that the job seeker has too much time on his or her hands, much like the last one picked for the softball team.
Whatever may be the profile of the firm where you are attending the interview, avoid over-the-top dress such as jeans, t-shirts, athletic shoes, tight-fits etc. A conservative style isn’t harmful; at least, better than going overdressed or underdressed.
Don’t over talk.
You mustn’t divert facts or state them in a manner that does not support the truth. If they know that you’re misrepresenting facts, their trust for you can be forfeited forever.
Do not fidget: There is nothing worse compared to individuals playing with their hair, clicking pen tops, touching feet.
Do not make you understood as a jack-of-all-trades, but master of nothing. Even if you have an impeccable track record of performance, place it humbly.
Don’t underestimate the value of smile, it can make you feel better about yourself.
Do not try to be very personal with the interviewer.Unless you are specifically asked, do not address the interviewer by his name.
Do not stroll away from questions the interviewer has inquired. If you are not aware of the answers do not provide wrong answers.
Do not give an impression that you’re a perfectionist.No human is perfect. Be truthful.
You’ll have made you a better prospect by bypassing these interview traps. You should know that sharpening your interview abilities can mean the real difference between getting the job offer — and being a runner-up. Good luck
