
Wilma F. McKenna of Ligonier (tribunereview)
Wilma F. McKenna of Ligonier, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011.
Wilma was born in Uniontown, a daughter of the late John David and Veronica
(Martin) Fitzmaurice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her loving husband, Alex G. McKenna, who died Dec. 5, 1995; their infant son,
John D.; three brothers, James, William and John; and her sister, Jeanne F.
Hartung. She is survived by her children, David E. and his wife, Loree, of
Pendleton, Ore., Linda M. Boxx, of Latrobe, Zan M. Rich, of Ligonier, Kim M.
Kennedy and her husband, Dan, of Champaign, Ill., and Beth M. Hall and her
husband, Jonathan, of Pittsburgh. Eleven grandchildren will sadly miss their
grandmother: Volus McKenna, Olivia White, Nathan Boxx, Peter Boxx, Marion
Rich, Allison Rich, Colin Kennedy, Maura Kennedy, Elliott Hall, Jennifer Hall
and Leah Hall. She leaves one great-grandchild, Sophie, many nieces, nephews
and special friends. Wilma was a member of Holy Trinity Church and received
the papal honor of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
She was active in many community organizations, served as vice chairman of the
Katherine Mabis McKenna Foundation, and founded …
