The Healthy Treat
Halloween is a wonderful time for kids. They have tons of fun with parties and with trick-or-treating. The difficulty for mothers and dads is deciding what to do with those huge trick-or-treat bags full of candy and sweet treats. In this article are some pointers that can help you to control your children’s consumption of treats this year, while still permitting them to enjoy savoury dark chocolate.
Serve your kids a healthy meal before trick-or-treating. If they aren’t hungry, your kids will be less certain to gorge themselves on candy when they get home. Once you’ve checked the presents for safety, allow your children to enjoy some of their Halloween candy when they have finished trick-or-treating. Make certain to pick out all the dark chocolate candies your kids receive and hold on to them. Dark chocolate is a healthy food that helps prevent coronary disease. Give or dump the remainder of the candy.
You put all the dark chocolate treats into a high drawer in your kitchen or cupboard. Out of view, out of mind, and then you can control how many treats your children get to eat over the following few days. Divide up the leftover candy to be eaten a touch at a time. You will need lunch-sized paper bags, tape or a stapler, and maybe some markers or pens. Place either 2 to 3 tiny treats or one big treat into each bag. Tape or staple the paper bags closed and keep them in a massive box or bag. Let your kids pick out one bag everyday . Alternatively, each bag can be marked with a day or date for the following week or two. Your kid gets the treat bag that’s marked for each day.
Don’t buy Halloween candy early or you may con yourself and your youngsters to eat too much before the trick-or-treating even starts. Promote a good Halloween by distributing alternative decisions to sugary candy. Give out individually packed non-sugary treats like dark chocolate mingled with nuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews, or chips.
You could like to host a Halloween party for your youngsters. That way you’ve got some influence over what your youngsters eat. Include flavonoid-rich dark chocolate, fresh plants and dips, or baked chips and crackers.. Serve warm apple cider and water rather than soda.
